Profiling has become a “dirty” word in our society even though it is used every day by everyone. It is normal and important that you are aware of who and want is around you at all times, so you can assess any threat potential. It is also important that you are aware of who and what is around you so that you can assess opportunities.
Someone with a high Emotional Intelligence Quotient (EQ) understands their impact on others and are accurately aware of the emotions of others. The combination of profiling and EQ allows you to approach others with certainty and confidence. These skills will allow you to accurately plan and execute an engagement plan that will have a high degree of success.
A long time ago I was given one of the best pieces of advice that I have lived by: Attraction then Promotion. People must like you before they do business with you, now I understand that this is not 100% true – but it is more true than not. High EQ allows you to better connect with people on an emotional level which helps create trust and increases likability.
NSC Net: Use Profiling to accurately assess others, use Emotional Intelligence to bond quickly with others. Both of these skills require study and practice to perfect but can be wonderfully useful tools in your quest for success.
